Sabayon Linux 6 - combines the convenience for the end user with the flexibility of Gentoo. Distribution is available in assemblies with GNOME 2.32.2 and KDE 4.6.4.
Sabayon Linux is designed as a Live-distribution, provided with the possibility of easy installation on your hard drive. The set comes complete with full set of multimedia codecs and restricted drivers for video cards, wireless adapters and software modems.

Batch distribution base is synchronized with the collection of Gentoo and Portage is completely compatible with Portage 2.2 (EAPI2), the user can install programs from source code as well as using the binary packages built for x86 and x86-64. To manage the packages prepared by the GUI interface "Sulfur" and command-line program "equo".

Release Highlights: Sabayon Linux 6:
Distribution comes with a Linux-kernel 2.6.39.1, optimized for desktop applications. Optional packages are available with Linux-kernel that is optimized for use on the server or to deploy isolated containers on the basis of OpenVZ or Vserver;
